HYDERABAD: Rajahmundry Congress MP Undavalli Arun Kumar has taken a serious exception to Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu describing former chief minister the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy as a wild boar which had looted the state. Addressing a news conference here on Friday, the Congress leader said that it was highly unbecoming of a leader of the stature of Chandrababu Naidu to use such objectionable language against a late leader."If YSR was looting the state, I wonder what Naidu was doing. How come he did not lodge a single complaint with any investigation agency that YSR was indulging in corruption. What all the TDP had done was to collect the stories that had appeared in newspapers and publish it under the title `Raja of Corruption'.They had laid one copy of the book at the feet of Mahatma Gandhi statue in Delhi and distributed others to members of Parliament," Arun Kumar said. What a public-spirited person like Naidu should have done the moment he came to know that YSR had acted in violation of rule with an intent to make money was to approach an investigation agency. ``If there was no action, then he could have looked at other options like approaching the court. But without doing anything of this sort, Naidu is using abominable language to whittle down the image of YSR.'' Arun Kumar recalled the High Court striking down a complaint against YSR that he had not mentioned 10 acres of land that was in his name in the declaration of assets he had made before the Election Commission.YSR had submitted to the court that since had had given the land to his daughter he did not mention it in the declaration but he came to know later that the name of the landholder had not been changed to that of his daughter. As the contention of YSR was genuine, the court dismissed the petition against him, he said, trying to drive home the point that one should approach an investigation agency for action for public good instead of making wild allegations against a leader in public life
