New Delhi: A day after a Delhi Police constable was shot dead outside a police station, two adults have been arrested and two juveniles have been held for the crime. All the four accused who have been taken under custody are burglars.
The arrests have been made in connection with the death of two police constables who were shot at early on Monday morning after they stopped an auto-rickshaw that the attackers were in as they found their activities to be suspicious.
While one constable had died on the spot, another suffered injured in the incident. According to sources, during interrogation, the accused said that they had panicked on being caught and fired at the cops to escape.
There have been a spate of such attacks against constables in the last one month. On Saturday, unidentified men had opened fire on two Delhi Police constables in the busy Connaught Place area in the heart of the national capital.
