Trackmen avert train mishap

VISAKHAPATNAM: Passengers of Alleppy-Dhanbad Bokaro Express had a lucky escape on Saturday when the trackmen detected one of the railway tracks had snapped near Narasingabilli area of Kasimkota mandal in the district and alerted higher authorities.According to sources, while the Bokaro Express train was approaching Anakapalle railway station from Yelamanchili at around 1 p.m, one of the trackmen noticed the fracture in the track. After being informed, Anakapalle railway station authorities directed the driver and guard of Bokaro Express to stop the train before Narasingabilli station. The track was repaired within ten minutes and the train was given clearance. No train was delayed due to the incident.
