TIRUPATI: A devotee from Chennai and managing director of Agri Estates Jaya Prakash had donated a diamond-studded gold crown to Goddess Padmavati at the Tiruchanur temple, here on Monday. The devotee, who came along with his family, handed over the crown to temple assistant executive officer Venugopal. The crown which weighs 2.5 kg is worth Rs 71 lakh. According to temple sources, the crown is most likely to be fitted on the goddess’ idol on Friday.
