New Delhi: Tiger Woods shot a first-round 68 to finish three shots off the lead after his first round at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Friday.
This is his third tournament of the year after his return to action after knee surgery.
Woods shot four consecutive birdies on the back nine and is in a seven-way tie for tenth place.
Woods went into the tournament after finishing tied for ninth place at Doral in the WGC-CA Championship two weeks ago and is keen to use this event to build up for the US Masters.
Meanwhile, as Tiger Woods found his feet, India's Jeev Milkha Singh failed to get going in the first round. He could only manage a 1 over 71 score to finish and tied 41st with 15 other players including current Masters Champion Trevor Immelman.
