Thousands Attend Maliankara Pilgrimage

PARAVOOR: The Maliankara-Sambaloor pilgrimage will strengthen communal harmony, unity and love, said Czech Republic’s Vatican Affairs Secretary Monsignor Dennis Kuruppassery at Maliankara near here on Sunday. Monsignor Dennis was inaugurating pilgrimage organised in connection with the silver jubilee celebrations of Kottapuram diocese.Maliankara was a holy and chosen land assigned to begin Christianity in India. The pilgrimage to Sambaloor is a reintroduction of the pilgrimage of the ancestors to Maliankara. We are committed to keep up the heritage and faith. We should live in love and follow the habit of sharing, Monsignor Dennis said.Diocese Vicar General Monsignor Dominic Pinhero flagged off the pilgrimage. Dr Francis Kurusingal led the prayers. General Convenor Fr Binu Mukkath  spoke.
