New Delhi: Around this time of the year, for the past few years, rumours of the next-gen Nexus smartphone begin to gather steam. 2014 is no different, reports describing what the upcoming Nexus smartphone would look like have started to come in.
Speculations are rife that the next-gen Nexus smartphone, which so far has been dubbed Nexus 6, is coming in partnership with Motorola and would be in all likelihood an enlarged Moto X.
Recent reports have suggested that the next-gen Nexus smartphone will be called the Nexus X and will come with a 5.92-inch display.
While there are no leaked photos of the upcoming Nexus yet but 9to5Google - from what it has learned - said in a report, "As for the overall appearance of the device, it's basically going to be a scaled up 2nd generation Moto X with some minor tweaks to make the larger size easier to use."
Rumours say that the Nexus X (codename "Shamu") will come with a QHD display, Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 12-megapixel rear camera.
The new Nexus, in all likelihood, will come running Android L, the next version of Google's mobile OS. The phone is expected to be unveiled in mid-October.
