New Delhi: Asus that entered the Indian smartphone market with its three smartphones - ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5 and the ZenFone 6 - last month, has now announced a new variant of its Zenfone 4 smartphone.
The phone is exclusively available via Flipkart. The company mentions the estimated release date as the first week of September.
With a 4.5-inch display, the new ZenFone 4 (A450CG) has a slightly bigger screen than the one launched last month.
Priced at Rs 6,999, the 4.5-inch Asus Zenfone 4 costs Rs 1,000 more than the 4-inch variant that came to India at Rs 5,999. Also, the new variant has an 8 megapixel rear camera while the 4-inch model sports a 5 megapixel camera.
The new phone is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 dual-core processor along with 1GB of RAM, and runs Android v4.3 (Jelly Bean), upgradeable to v4.4 (KitKat) OS. It supports a microSD card of up to 64 GB.
