Thane girl Kejal Pandey, who lost her life in a road accident, has scored 8.6 CGPA in CBSE Class 10 Board exams.
Kejal met with an accident while riding pillion on a bike in April and was declared brain dead. The family, while coping with the tragedy decided to donate her organs and saved three lives.
Kejal aimed to be a chartered accountant.
"If she would have been there today then people would have called to congratulate but now we are alone without her. She gave organs to three but I am sad that she is not there. She used to help her brother in studies. She wanted to be a CA," Kejal's mother said.
This year, a whopping 1,68,541 students across the country - 85,316 boys and 83,225 girls scored a perfect 10 CGPA score in the CBSE Class X exam.
A total of 14,91,293 candidates were registered for Class X examination which amounted to an increase of about 8.5 per cent candidates over 2015.
