New Delhi: Red carpet appearances at the Cannes Film Festival are getting high on the glam quotient with each passing day. CNN-IBN gets you a complete lowdown on all the headturners on Day 9.
Director Quentin Tarantino made an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival where his latest, The Inglourious Basterds premiered on Wednesday.
"The thing is one of the questions I get asked a lot of the time is 'what actor would you like to work with?' And Brad has always been one of the ones I've said," says he.
Tarantino's wishes were answered when Brad Pitt stepped into the shoes of Lieutenant Aldo Raine who leads a band of Jewish Allied soldiers to bring down the Third Reich in The Inglourious Basterds.
The glam quotient was at an all time high with Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Sharon Stone fighting it out for the 'best leggy beauty' title. where Angelina showed off her well-toned legs in a tea-rose Versace gown with a slit till the thigh, Sharon Stone created quite a stir with her cheeky thigh skimming black Balmain dress with a train to boot.
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt looked dapper in a Tom Ford Tux. Actress Diane Kruger - who also stars in The Inglourious Basterds looked pristine in an all white Grecian inspired white gown.
But all eyes were on Tarantino and French actress Melanie Laurent when they broke into a little jig trying to recreate the famous dance sequence from Taratino's cult classic, Pulp Fiction, which won the Cannes Palme D'or in 1994.
Moving on from one actor-director to another, actress Penelope Cruz also walked the red carpet with Director Pedro Almodovar for the premiere of her Spanish film Broken Embraces on Wednesday.
The Spanish beauty looked striking in a lilac dress with a plunging neckline. The food poisoning and the flu could obviously not keep her from sashaying into the after party thrown to honour the cast of the film.
Hotel Heiress Paris Hilton also made an appearance with a diamond tiara and Doug Reinhardt as arm candy.
