Sushmita Sen auctioned one of her best paintings to raise money for Imran Khan's cancer hospital.

New Delhi: If you thought the high points in Sushmita Sen's life are her Miss Universe crown and her streak of brilliance in Bollywood, then you are wrong.

The glam girl has more to her credit and one of them is being an accomplished

painter.

The actor, who said that painting is her hobby, recently sold one of her paintings for $55,000.

Sushmita said that she paints for herself and her friends and has never thought of taking it up professionally.

She said this is the first time that that she had put up her paintings for an auction and that too to raise money for charity.

The painting titled Ibaadat was sold during a telethon to raise money for a hospital built by former Pakistan cricket star Imran Khan.

However, the buyer was not identified.

The proceeds of the charity will go to raise money for Imran Khan's cancer hospital in Pakistan.

Sushmita was completely bowled over by the response she got during the auction and said that she felt India and Pakistan have no boundaries.

"It goes to show that death and disease have no nationality," Sushmita was quoted as saying to a national daily.
