Chhattisgarh: To nab Sukma attack perpetrators - dead or alive - the Chhattisgarh Police on Friday released their posters, declaring a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh on the head of more than 10 Naxals, including the mastermind Ramanna, member of the Central Committee of Maoists.

According to D M Awasthi, Special Director General of Police (anti-Naxal operations), Chhattisgarh Police, the body of a Naxalite was recovered on Thursday night from the forest, just 500 metres away from the spot where the gunbattle had taken place between the CRPF and the rebels on April 24.

CRPF rejects reports its slain men's bodies were mutilated
The CRPF on Thursday rejected news reports that the bodies of some of its 25 personnel killed in the Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh's Sukma were mutilated.
"With all authority, I deny that any martyred jawan's body was mutilated," acting chief of the force Sudeep Lakhtakia told reporters in New Delhi.
According to some accounts, private parts of some of the slain personnel were mutilated by the guerrillas to "avenge" alleged rape of local women by security forces.
On April 24, twenty-five CRPF personnel were killed and seven others injured when the Naxals attacked a patrol party of 74th battalion of the paramilitary force near Burkapal village of Sukma, around 450 km away from Raipur.
