Sree Sankara dance fest concludes

KALADY: The fifth National Sree Sankara Dance and Music Festival concluded here on Saturday. Artists Manju Bhargavai, Gopika Varma and Priyadarsini Govind presented Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam and Bharathanatyam respectively at the festival.  For around 500 students, the fest turned out to be a platform for debut performance. Excise Minister K Babu inaugurated the valedictory function. Anwar Sadath MLA presided over the function. K P Dhanapalan MP delivered the keynote address. Chief coordinator P V Peethambaran, technical director C P Unnikrishnan and general convener V D Hari were among those who spoke. The presentation of Mangalam Dance was the most colourful event of thefestival.
