CHENNAI: The Madras High Court on Monday directed the Krishnagiri Police Superintendent to monitor the investigation on tracing out a 17-year-old boy who had completed Class X, and fell in love with a girl studying in Class XII, and gone missing from October 15 last year and to file a staus report, once again.“We are dissatisfied with the steps taken by the inspector attached to the Sipcot police staton in Hosur to trace the boy, though several status reports have been filed. No concrete steps have been taken,” a division bench comprising justices C Nagappan and P Devadoss said and directed the Krishnagiri SP to monitor the probe. In his plea, Sushil Mandal of Hosur, prayed for a direction to the police to trace his son Sandesh, who had cleared Class X CBSE exams with flying colours, produce him in the court and to set him at liberty. He alleged that Sandesh fell in love with Monisha, daughter of Rajkumar in Hosur, a Class XII student. Sandesh was taking tuition with Monisha’s mother at the latter’s house. Contending that his son was kept in the illegal custody of Rajkumar, working as an inspector attached to the Central Excise Department in Sipcot, Mandal filed the present petition in December last year.
