KRISHNAGIRI: Skeletal parts of a man was found under a rock in Kattapatti hill near Krishnagiri on Monday. Almost broken in parts, the skeleton had a male attire suggesting that the body was that of a man. Talking to Express, Krishnagiri Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravi Kumar said the age of the person could have been in the 50 years’ range. The condition of the pant and shirt the person wore and that of the skeleton revealed that the man would have died a year ago. The body was spotted by some people who climbed the hill on Monday. They informed the same to the Village Administrative Officer, who in turn lodged a complaint with Krishnagiri Police. The Deputy Superintendent of Police and other police personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the skeleton. The Deputy Superintendent of Police said the doctors have conducted a postmortem on the skeleton, which was later sent to the forensic laboratory in Salem. “Only after getting laboratory reports, we can know the nature of death,” Ravi Kumar added. Meanwhile, the Krishnagiri Police have informed other police stations in surrounding areas to verify the man missing complaints lodged in the last one year in their areas. Police are also investigating whether the person has committed suicide or murdered.
