HYDERABAD: Retired IPS officer M Bhaskar filed a petition in the third chief additional metropolitan magistrate’s court, Nampally here on Friday seeking anticipatory bail in the Tollywood actress Tara Chowdary’s flesh trade case. The court posted the hearing on the petition to April 23.Bhaskar, a 1977-batch IPS officer, said he received information that police had found his business card at  Tara Chowdary’s house during recent searches. Fearing that his arrest was imminent,  he approached the court seeking anticipatory bail. ‘‘I have no connection with her. I made a small favour to her when she contacted me. That’s it,’’ he told Express.According to sources, police recovered some video footage showing Bhaskar ‘s links with Tara. Banjara Hills assistant commissioner of police E Shanker Reddy, however, said that they didn’t know why Bhaskar had sought anticipatory bail.Police recovered about 100 DVDs, application forms for selection of Home Guards and a spy camera at Tara’s house. They also found some visiting cards of Bhaskar at her house.Banjara Hills police arrested R Tara Chowdary and one Prasad on March 31 on a complaint lodged by a girl whom the duo allegedly forced into prostitution. Tara, who acted in a few low-budget movies such as Adrusyam, Rakshakudu, Priya Sakhi and Love Ticket, had been arrested twice in the past on the same charges. The actress  is currently lodged in the Chanchalguda central prison.
