As preparations for the ‘pran-pratistha’ ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir has started off, the temple premises is all set to be decked up with famous lighting from West Bengal’s Chandanagar.

This town is famous for its remarkable lighting, from recreating the beauty of London’s Thames bridge to other important national and international places, their lighting has made its mark.

An electric worker from Chandannagar, Manoj Saha has already sent around 75 people from the town to work in Ayodhya. A total of 10 kms of the road inside the mandir will be lighted by the special ‘Chandanagar’ lights.

According to him, the main light gate of Chandanagar will show Ram Tilak through lighting. Apart from this Ram, Sita, Lakshman and other characters will also be shown through lighting.

Speaking to News18 Manoj Saha said, “I did’nt sleep for the last 15 days, it is such a huge responsibility. My son is already is Ayodhya. I am honoured that we have got the opportunity to be associated with such huge work . We will witness history and our work will also be there. A big thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji who has made it possible.”

According to Saha, iron structures have been made and light will be fitted into it . The ‘RamTilak’ gate will be the main attraction, he said.

It was a month back when Saha got a call, following which he applied for the work, participated in the tender and finally last week got the work order.

While talking to News18, Saha became very emotional and said,“ I am in a lot of tension, it is Ram Bhagwan’s work, will we be able to do it? I am praying to Ram ji to help me to do this huge job.”

Chandanagar has always been famous for its lighting. From Kolkata’s Durga Puja, to Kali Puja and the famous Jagadhatri Puja of Chandanagar, the special lighting of the town has always made a mark.

This assignment is different, said Saha, “the coming 7 days all workers will be working day and night for this and I will be reaching next week.”

All designs have been made with passion and love, so they believe that when Mandir inauguration program starts then Chandanagar light will give its best projection.
