BANGALORE: The preparations for the forthcoming launch of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C17), carrying India's communication satellite GSAT-12, are progressing well at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.
The launch of PSLVC17/GSAT12 mission is expected to be on July 15, according to a communique from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The GSAT12 Communication satellite with a mass of 1410 kg at liftoff, has 12 Extended Cband transponders. The PSLVC17 will inject GSAT12 into an elliptical Transfer Orbit (SubGTO) of 284 km perigee and 21,000 km apogee.
