MYSORE: After three months, Mysore police have succeeded in nabbing Shivagowda Sharanappa Biradar, who supplied a revolver to Balaji Rao alias Tibet, to shoot Bettanagere Seena on March 10 at Mysore Central Prison.Based on the clues provided by Biradar after his arrest on June 15, Mandi police are searching for the real culprit, who assigned the job to him.City Police Commissioner Sunil Agarwal told reporters here on Sunday that acting on a tip-off, Mandi police Inspector Kiran Kumar arrested Biradar in Nelamangala bus stand and brought him to Mysore on June 15.Based on the information given by him, Mandi police went to Bijapur, Dharwad, Belgaum and Gulbarga Central Prisons for investigation and collected evidences about the involvement of other culprits in the case.Sunil Agarwal said that investigating officer Kiran Kumar has got definite clues on who assigned the job to Biradar to hand over the revolver to Balaji Rao. The investigating officer is searching for the culprit in and around Gulbarga, he said.Shivanagowda Biradar, who was involved in a murder case in Bijapur, went missing after the incident in 2009.Later, he took shelter in Nelmangala and was acting at the behest of Bettanagere Manja, a rowdy-sheeter and under-trial, who gave supari to Balaji Rao to eliminate Bettanagere Seena.
