Pregnant woman immolates self

HYDERABAD: A six-month pregnant woman ended her life allegedly unable to bear harassment of her husband and her in-laws for dowry in Vanasthalipuram on Tuesday night. V Lakshmi Prasanna was married to Govind, a mason from Srinivasapuram Colony, one-and-half years ago.  On Tuesday night, she locked herself in a room and set herself ablaze. She was rushed to a hospital where she was declared dead. Lakshmi’s parents filed a complaint with the police who registered a case of dowry death against Govind and his parents.
