Powerless Congress will lose leaders

HYDERABAD: In yet another sensational remark in his inimitable style, Tadipatri MLA and former minister JC Diwakar Reddy said on Thursday that several Congress leaders remained in the party since it was in power, and once it lost the power these leaders would jump on the Jagan bandwagon.Talking with reporters at the Assembly Media Point, he said some Congress leaders were involved in mobilising crowds for YSR Congress leader’s Odarpu yatra in Anantapur district.Claiming to be the true Congressman in Anantapur district, Diwakar Reddy described other leaders of his party in the district as ‘cats on the wall’. Without mentioning their names, he said they might jump into Jagan’s camp once Congress was out of power. He, however, brushed aside Jagan’s statement that the government was going to fall. “I am ready to bet that the Government is not going to fall”, he challenged.
