THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Venjaramoodu police have registered a case against DYFI State secretary T V Rajesh MLA and two others on charges of manhandling a traffic police officer on duty and abusing a lady police constable, the other day. The incident occurred at Keezhayikonam when the Highway police obstructed a private car in which MLA was travelling. When traffic control room SI S Thomas asked for an identity proof, it is alleged that the MLA manhandled the officer and abused Shamla Beevi, the lady constable who was also on duty. Thomas was later admitted to a private hospital at Venjaramood. He was discharged on Saturday. Meanwhile, Rajesh has lodged a complaint with the DGP and Assembly Speaker on the incident.
