The Bihar police on Wednesday busted a gang involved in trade of contraband heroin having links with Nepal and seized 500 gram of it valued at around Rs 1 crore from them.
Acting on a tip off, police arrested three persons, including an Engineering student from near Tekari More under Sultanganj police station of Patna district and seized heroin on the basis of information provided by them, a release from Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said.
Among the three nabbed, Neeraj Kumar a resident of Saharsa is a student of Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering ~~amp;amp; Technology, he said.
Other two Shankar and Nitesh Kumar are residents of Madhubani district, he added.
Interrogation of the three revealed their links with Nepal, the SSP said, adding more details were being elicited from them.
