Pakistan Flag Burnt By Protesters in Assam
Thousands of supporters and members of various organisations, including All Bodo Students Union, Bodo Peoples Front and All Adivasi Students Association of Assam, burnt the effigy of Nawaz Sharif and the Pakistani flag.

Kokrajhar: The Pakistani flag and an effigy of its prime minister Nawaz Sharif were burnt by protesters in Assams Kokrajhar district on Thursday to protest against the Uri attack by Pakistan-sponsored militants.

Thousands of supporters and members of various organisations, including All Bodo Students Union, Bodo Peoples Front and All Adivasi Students Association of Assam, burnt the effigy of Nawaz Sharif and the Pakistani flag.

Carrying posters, banners and shouting slogans against Pakistan and Nawaz Sharif, the demonstrators held a protest-rally at Serfanguri on National Highway 31 demanding strong action against the perpetrators of the violence.

The protesters dispersed peacefully later, the police said.
