Mumbai: Just days after thousands of doctors went on an indefinite mass leave in the national capital, doctors in Maharashtra have now decided to go on a strike.
Over 4,000 resident doctors in government hospitals across Maharashtra have decide to go on an indefinite strike from July 2.
The doctors have called for the strike as part of their protests over lack of proper security, living conditions and stipend. The other issues include leaves and bond period.
They have alleged that their demands have not been made despite several attempts in the past.
According to the doctors, they recently met government representatives but failed to get a convincing response.
