BANGALORE: An 83-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by an unidentified two-wheeler in front of Karnataka Medical Council at K R Road and H P Samaj Road Junction on Tuesday night.The deceased has been identified as Singamma, a resident of Mahantha Layout in Kempe Gowda Nagar.According to the police, Singamma had gone to an ENT clinic along with her relative Padma. While the duo were returning home, a speeding bike hit them and sped away. Though, she was admitted to a private hospital, she succumbed to injuries late in the night.Woman Sets Self on Fire, Dies An 82-year-old woman ended her life by setting herself ablaze at her residence in Milk Colony in Subramanyanagar in the wee hours of Wednesday. It is suspected that health problems might have led her to take the extreme step. The deceased has been identified as Seetha Lakshmamma. According to the police, after her husband’s death, the deceased was living alone in the house. Her sister, Rukmini, who stays next to her house was taking care of her. On Tuesday night, Rukmini had provided her food and had locked the house from outside. When she went again around 5 am on Wednesday, she found her sister dead in the bathroom of her house. She had set herself ablaze by dousing kerosene.
