Odisha: Two men absconding after raping minor, setting her on fire

Bhubaneswar: A 14-year-old school girl was allegedly gangraped and set on fire in the Kendrapara district in Odisha and is now battling for life in hospital. The incident came to light on Sunday.

According to sources, the accused wanted to marry the elder sister of the survivor but the girl's parents refused to do so. After that, on Sunday, the accused along with his friend, allegedly forcibly took the 14-year-old to his house and pressured her to marry him.

When the girl refused, the accused and his friend allegedly raped her and set her on fire. Police say the accused are juveniles and are absconding.
