KARWAR: Seeking to end the controversy over shutting primary schools with less than five students, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda assured that no more schools will be closed in the state. Speaking here, he said that the government had already started identifying English medium schools violating government norms. The CM hoped that the matter relating to such schools, which is now in Supreme Court, goes in favour of the state government. The chief minister turned emotional when he said that he was inspired by Banavasi and Sirsi during his early days.“Festivals like Kadambotsava could help people of different regions and language come together. Such events spread the message of harmony,” Gowda said.
