A Nigerian national was arrested in New Delhi with 190 gm cocaine valued at Rs.2 crore in the international market, police said on Monday.

Abdul Raheem Kamalideen Kehine, from Lagos in Nigeria, was arrested Sunday from west Delhi's Dwarka where he went to deliver a consignment of 190 gm cocaine to a contact, police said.

"It was one of the biggest seizures of cocaine in Delhi in recent times," said Ravindra Yadav, additional commissioner of police.

Kehine, who was living in west Delhi's Hari Nagar area, was involved in drug trafficking since 2011, police said.

Kehine disclosed that he came to India in May 2010 on a business visa to start a garment business.

"He was arrested in a case of cheating but got bail in the case in April 2011 and his passport was deposited in the concerned court," said Yadav.

"Soon after coming out of jail, Kehine met Kahyodey, a fellow Nigerian, and both of them started drug trafficking. He used to get commission on every delivery," the officer added.
