The convocation ceremony of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) for students who graduated in 2012-13 will be held on August 31. The board of governance (BoG) approved holding of the convocation during the meeting. Apart from this, the BoG of the institute has directed that the teaching technique of new teachers should be monitored for maintaining the standard of the teaching.
Bhopal: Admission opens for Barkatullah University
A fresh round of admission for candidates who have already registered for the online counselling process for post-graduate courses at Barkatullah University (BU) would be held next week. The dates for counselling are most likely to be from August 6 to 8. The decision has been taken to fill up the vacant seats.
Bhopal: NCC organises 10-day training camp
A ten-day training camp of 4 MP Girls Battalion of NCC is being conducted at Kolar Road. The camp would continue till August 5. About 490 students from different colleges have participated in the camp. Along with physical and practical aspects, lectures are also being held on various topics for the camp participants.
Indore: DAVV gets five more acres of land
Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya (DAVV) was allotted five more acres of land on Friday for the expansion of the university. A four-member delegation from the university met the district collector Akash Tripathi and presented a detail progress report of the college. The medical college now will have 30 acres of land.
Ujjain: New V-C for Vikram University
Dr R C Verma has been appointed as the in-charge vice-chancellor of Vikram University. Prior to this, Dr Verma was the dean of faculty of biology and head of botany study centre of Vikram University. Governor Ram Naresh Yadav appointed Verma till a regular VC is appointed.
