Sikar: Road construction to begin between Jaipur and Reengus

The travel between Jaipur and Reengus is all set to become faster and safer. A Rs 556 crore road NHDP project connecting Jaipur and Reengus in Rajasthan has become operational. “The highway will significantly improve the way people commute between Jaipur and Reengus; it will be a four lane highway and will be safer and will take less travel time,” said a senior official of NHAI.

Udaipur: NSUI disrupts shooting of ‘Bad’ at Central Jail

A day after she had a spat with Jodhpur police chief, Bollywood actress Pooja Bhatt had to face another protest by NSUI activists on Tuesdayduring the ongoing shooting of her upcoming movie 'Bad' at the Central Jail. The members of ruling Congress party's youth wing staged the protest also against the alleged misbehaviour with district SP Hariprasad Sharma on Saturday by the film unit members during the shoot in collectorate premises.

Jaipur: High Court stays recruitment of sweepers through lottery system

The Rajasthan High Court on Tuesday put stay on the lottery-oriented recruitment of sweepers to be conducted by nagar nigam on Wednesday. It also served notices to local self government department, chief executive officer, nagar nigam and commissioner, department of personnel. A single judge bench of justice Manish Bhandari acted on the petitions by Jitendra and others. Vimal Chaudhary, advocate, prosecution told the court the petitioners are the contracted employees of the department. Recruitment for 2,877 vacancies has been announced through the lottery system, which is completely against the norms.
