New JCPs assume charge

BANGALORE: Pronob Mohanty, who was the Lokayukta DIG, took charge as the Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) of West Division on Thursday.B Dayananda also assumed charges as the Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) of East Division.Earlier, he was the DIG of the State Intelligence.Speaking to reporters, Mohanty denied any conspiracy behind his transfer from Lokayukta.“I have not handled the illegal mining or denotification cases.My transfer could not be connected with any controversy as generally two years is the average tenure for any officer,” Mohanty observed
