NDA's Parliament pandemonium continues
Despite Natwar Singh assuring he will formally resign from Cong when PM returns from Russia, NDA insisted he resigns immediately.

New Delhi: Volcker controversy continues to rock the Parliament despite Natwar Singh's resignation from the Congress.

The BJP-led Opposition did not let either Houses function and clarified that they will continue doing so till former external affairs minister Natwar Singh submits his resignation on Tuesday itself.

This is despite Natwar assuring that he will formally quit from Congress upon Manmohan Singh?s return from Russia on Wednesday.

The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were adjourned till 1200 hrs (IST) after Opposition leaders created furore, staged walkouts and shouted slogans.

The NDA had convened a meeting before the Parliament session and discussed Natwar Singh's decision to step down only after Prime Minister's return from Russia.

BJP Spokesperson VK Malhotra said the NDA would also insist on Sonia Gandhi's resignation as Chairperson of the National Advisory Council.
