In a clarification, CRPF officials reiterated that Kattamanchi Goverdhan is a jawan dismissed from the Army and CRPF has nothing to do with the accused. It was inadvertently mentioned in these columns that the jawan was from CRPF.The CCS police had stated in a release that they had nabbed one Kattamanchi Goverdhan, formerly a soldier in the army and a resident of CRPF quarters in Chandrayanagutta and a native of Vallivedu villagel in Chittoor district.
