London: A sequel to the blockbuster movie adaptation of Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code is reportedly in the pipeline.
Scriptwriter Akiva Goldsman, who adapted the novel for the screen, is said to have been paid $3.8 million to write the sequel.
The sequel, however, will not be an original story, but will be based on Angels And Demons, the book which precedes The Da Vinci Code.
Informed sources told contactmusic.com that the plot would be altered so that it can follow on from the first film. The movie is expected to be released in 2008.
