The Mysore Central Prison inmates have joined the Cauvery agitation by singing songs on the river and rights of farmers.
Venkatesh, a jail inmate, said that they were hurt by the CRA’s decision directing the state to release water. He said that there was no drinking water in their villages. Mahesh, an inmate, said that they will launch a silent protest if the Supreme Court fails to do justice to the state. In wake of the Supreme Court adjourning its review petition to October 12, the Kannada activists staged a protest and stopped buses at the rural bus station.
