Muthulakshmis counsel to sue film producer

ERODE: The counsel for slain forest brigand Veerappan’s wife Muthulakshmi has planned to sue a Bangalore-based film director Ramesh for producing a film on Veerappan without  consent.Talking to Express here on Monday, Muthulakshmi’s counsel BB Mohan, who appeared for her in a case pending in the Gobi Fast Track Court, said the film in question features a character in the name of Muthulakshmi.Mohan said that when he got information about the production of the film three years ago, he had sent a notice to the director. Now, the director has given an interview to the media that the film was under production with actor Arjun in the lead role as STF chief Vijayakumar and actress Vijayalakshmi as Muthulakshmi, Mohan said.It is learnt that the film titled Vana Yutham, would portray Veerappan in bad light.  “None could also object if a film is made on a deceased person,” he said.
