New Delhi: Motorola has announced that it has began rollout of Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Moto X (2nd Gen) phones in India. The company says it will also soon initiate Lollipop upgrade for other Motorola devices in India.

Android Lollipop is the latest version of Google's popular smartphone operating system and it was first available on the Motorola-made Nexus 6, that many believe is a blown-up version of the Moto X.

Unlike many other manufacturers, Motorola is adding very little of its own atop the Android OS and says the company is commited to offering its users a pure, bloatware-free and seamless Android experience.

How to upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop on Moto X (2nd Gen)

1. Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.

2. Select "About phone"

3. Select "System updates"

4. Select "Download". After the software is downloaded, select "Install"

5. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically
