More private buses to ply from Mobility Hub soon

KOCHI: From the bus day on August 17, several private buses will start plying from the Mobility hub at Vyttila. All the buses travelling to the town via Tripunithra as well as Vyttila-Vyttila circular buses will use the facility. The decision came during a meeting lead by Mobility Hub Managing Director Beena. More private buses will start plying through the hub in the coming days.The bus day commences at 8 am on  August 17. All buses will be decorated on the day.A special prize will be awarded to the best decorated bus. Arrangements have also been made for free parking of private vehicles at the mobility hub, so that private vehicle owners can board the buses from there.The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will supply coupons priced Rs 5 to use the bus for commuters parking their vehicles at the hub. Coupons will  be available at the petrol pumps in the city.The mobility hub will have a central role to play in the coming days owing to the onslaught of the Onam traffic and the demolition of the North Overbridge.Several celebrities will use the bus service on the bus day. The programmes are being organised by the Centre for Public Policy Research , Department of Motor Vehicles, District Administration, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Red FM.
