MLA: Probe WODCs aid

BHUBANESWAR: Congress member Naba Kishore Das on Friday demanded a probe by the State Government into the financial assistance allegedly given by the Western Odisha Development Council (WODC) to a cooperative institution.Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Das alleged that funds from the WODC have been illegally used in promoting the interests of ruling party members in Western Odisha.He demanded that such practice be stopped.Alleging that the cooperative institutions are being used for rehabilitation of ruling BJD politicians, Das said many such societies have been reinstated by misinterpreting the Supreme Court ruling in this regard.
