Hours after an early morning rain brought a brief relief from humidity in Delhi-NCR, the Met Office has predicted fresh spells for the region. However, the Weather Office did not mention anything about heavy downpours.
“Light to moderate rainfall accompanied with light thunderstorms (30-40 kmph gusty winds) and lightning is very likely to occur at few places of Delhi & NCR, Rohtak, Kharkhoda, Charkhi Dadri, Mattanhail, Jhajjar, Farukhnagar, Kosali, Mahendargarh, Sohana,” the Weather Office said in a post.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had posted about moderate to intense rainfall over parts of Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas for a few hours and advised people to avoid routes facing water logging problems.
Taking to its official X handle, the IMD posted, “Moderate to intense spell of rain over parts of Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas.”
It further said, “The rainfall is very likely to cause slippery roads, low visibility, disruption in traffic, and localised water logging in low-lying areas.”
The IMD further advised people to avoid going to areas that face water logging problem often. It also added, “Check for traffic congestion on your route and be updated with weather warnings.”
