Despite their flop show at German Grand Prix last weekend, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff confident of a comeback in the upcoming Hungarian GP.
"It is not fair to say Germany was a huge disappointment for us - it was just disappointing... It is not nice to see a car that won seven days earlier not performing in the same way - going from a top car to a midfield performer," Wolff said.
Both Hamilton and his German team-mate Nico Rosberg struggled with their Pirelli tyres at Nurburgring and the team have declared it will resolve their problems with the controversial fast-wearing Italian tyres.
However, Wolff supported his drivers and eying a turnaround in Hungary.
"But we know the car is pretty quick and a car cannot change that much in just seven days! So we now know that we have to put our heads together and use the team we have and find a solution to our problems. We can't run but at least we can have three days of thinking now," Wolff added.
Hamilton is yet to register his maiden win with Mercedes following his move from McLaren this season but has been the fastest qualifier in the last two races.
