BHUBANESWAR: A father-son duo landed in jail after allegedly attacking a stall owner in Mancheswar area on Saturday morning. The two were accused of attacking Labani Sahu with a chopper over the location of latter’s stall. The issue led to tension in the area. Mancheswar Police said Sahu runs the stall located near the entry gate of Bata Krushna Swain. The shop has been there for several years and both Swain and Sahu were at loggerheads over its location. The issue even landed in the court of law. While what exactly provoked Swain to attack Sahu was not known, investigation has revealed that the latter had purchased a new freezer which was placed close to the former’s gate triggering the tension between the two. What started as an altercation turned into a scuffle and Swain was allegedly joined by his son Jaga Mohan. Both allegedly attacked Sahu with a chopper. The stall owner suffered injuries at several parts of the his body. Tension ran high in the locality as locals demanded action on the matter. Police arrested the duo and produced them before a local court. Jaga Mohan works in the US and had come home recently.
