Man gets 10 years rigorous imprisonment for raping woman

A court in Bihar's Katihar district, on Friday, sentenced a man ten years imprisonment for raping a woman for two months on the promise of marriage.

The District and Sessions Judge Radhakrishna while convicting the man Motilal Das to ten years in jail also fined him Rs. 10,000 fine.

According to the prosecution 17 witnesses gave testimony in court. The man was from Dhoom Tola under Barsoi police station area.
