Malayalam superstar Mammooty was taken by surprise while shooting for his upcoming film 'Kadal Kadannoru' in North Rhine Westphailia in Germany when the Mayor Brent Gunter visited the sets.
Mammooty will be essaying the role of an NRI in the film. The storyline deals with the story of a couple who move to Germany from Kollencherry.
The Mayor spoke at length about India and particularly Kerala, as he had been to Kerala. He also shared with Mammootty the wonderful experiences that he had during the visit to the state.
The film will also feature megastar Mohanlal and Dileep in a special appearence. The film is jointly produced by Shaji Nadesan, Prithviraj, and Santhosh Sivan under the banner of August Cinema.
The film will also feature Balachandra Menon, Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, Suresh Krishna, Tini Tom, Kottayam Nazeer, Nandu, Narayankkutty, Shekhar Menon, Sunil Sugatha, Prem Prakash, Niyaz Becker, Antony, Meera Nandan, Alisha Muhammed, and Muthumani also appear in important roles.
Madhu Neelakandan is the cinematographer. The music is composed by Shahabas Aman Rafeeq Ahmed and Anu Elizabeth Jose.
