Make-up and fashion art academy

KOCHI: A maiden academy of make-up and fashion art, Pattanam Designory, will be inaugurated at  Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium on October 2.The first batch will commence on October 15.  Famed make-up designer Pattanam Rasheed and script writer John Paul will guide the students.The academy, promoted by Jayan Chembazhanthy and Sunny George will have  facilities and technologies that match global standards. The state has seen development in all sectors but the make-up and fashion sector has not witnessed much growth even as the cinema industry and media offer tremendous scope, a press release said.  The classrooms will have modern facilities, hi-tech labs and studios. Photoshop and digital imaging have been included in the syllabus.
