ANGAMALY: In a humanitarian gesture, Little Flower Hospital donated wheel chairs and stretchers to the Railways to help the blind and handicapped passengers board and alight the train safely. L F Hospital director Fr Sebastian Vadakkupadan entrusted the equipment to South Railway Station Manager P Chandran the other day. The function was presided over by the Railway Area Manager George John. Chief Booking Officer S Madhusudanan Nair, Dy Station Master P K Rajendran, Railway Health Inspector K S Saju, P B Moideen Kunju and Chief Ticket Inspector K D Joseph spoke. Fr Vadakkumpadan delivered the message for eye donation. The nursing students of LF Hospital led the class held to make awareness of eye donation. About 2000 leaflets on voluntary eye donation were circulated in the function.  About 1000 people had entrusted the consent paper offering their eyes posthumously.
