New Delhi: Two Tihar jail inmates, on Monday breached the security and managed to escape by digging the way out of the jail premises. While one of them is caught by the police, the other is absconding.
According to police two inmates Faizan and Javed (arrested for burglary) managed to jump the wall of jail number 7 where they were lodged and entered compound of jail number 8. They somehow managed to break the wall and through a nearby ditch managed to escape. While Faizan was nabbed, Javed has escaped.
The Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung ordered a Majesterial probe into the matter.
Jung has also demanded for a review of security at all Delhi prisons after the jail break at India's high security Tihar Jail.
According to the reports, the Tihar jail informed the police very late about the escape.
