Leaders cutting across the party lines have expressed their condolence over untimely demise of BJP leader and Union Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde.
"In Munde, Maharashtra has lost a great leader who has a great potential," said newly-elected Shiv Sena MP Hemant Godse. Senior Congress leader Vinayak dada Patil said that Munde had a good knowledge of agricultural problems since he hailed from a farmer's family. "Munde's political journey from a Vidyarthi Parishad activist to a senior BJP leader was impressive," Patil said.
NCP leader and PWD Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, apart from local leaders representing MNS, BJP, NCP and Shiv Sena have also expressed grief over Munde's death.Former Shiv Sena MP from Shirdi, Bhausaheb Waghchoure also expressed grief over Munde's death."Munde was the leader of a common man and one of my best friends whom I have lost today," he said.
