Polling in 25 constituencies of UP took place in two phases on April 17 and 24 in which 63 per cent of 4.29 crore electors cast their votes.

11:00 am:Jaswant Singh is now trailing by over 21000 votes against Congress's Col Sona Ram.

10:45 am: The BJP is ahead in all 25 seats in Rajasthan.

10:04 am: Former BJP leader Jaswant Singh, now contesting as an Independent candidate is leading against BJP's Col Sona Ram by 1742 votes.

BJP's Chandra Prakash Joshi leading against Congress's Girija Vyas by 37003 votes. BJP's Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore leading against Congress's Dr CP Joshi by 19227 votes.

Dr Mahesh Joshi is the only Congress candidate who is leading against BJP's Ramcharan Bohara by 2490 votes.

9:25 am Congress's Sachin Pilot leading in Ajmer Lok Sabha constituency.

9:20 am: Out of 19 out of 25 constituencies, BJP is leading in 18 seats.

Counting is underway in Rajasthan where polling in 25 parliamentary constituencies of the state took place in two phases on April 17 and 24 in which 63 per cent of 4.29 crore electors cast their votes. A total of 25 counting centres have been set up for the counting of votes of as many parliamentary constituencies.

A total of 320 candidates including 25 each from BJP and Congress contested the elections. 27 female candidates including Union Ministers Chandresh Kumari and Girija Vyas and sitting MP Jyoti Mirdha were also in the fray for the elections for 16th Lok Sabha.
